Purolator International Announces Opening of New Minneapolis/MSP Branch

Jericho, New York – July 25, 2011 – Purolator International, the leading provider of U.S. – Canada logistics services and subsidiary of Canada’s largest logistics provider, Purolator Inc., announces the opening of a new Minneapolis/MSP facility as part of its US/International expansion. The Minneapolis branch offers comprehensive cross border logistics services for shipments traveling between the United States’ Central Region and Canada.   The Minneapolis facility is part of an aggressive 2011 expansion plan for the leading logistics provider, who re-entered the U.S. market in 2001.  John Wilson, a Minnesota resident and a board member of the Midwest Global Trade Associations (MGTA), has been named Branch Manager, and will head up the new office.

“There’s a vast amount of cross-border trade between Canada, Minneapolis and the entire Central Region,” said John Costanzo, President, Purolator International.  “This new branch location will provide Purolator with a direct access to the Canadian border and offer global supply chain solutions for area businesses that ship to and from the Canadian market.  Minneapolis is our fourth branch opening in 2011 so far, with recent openings in San Francisco, Boston and Salt Lake City.”

Last year, Minneapolis and Canada celebrated a 40-year connection of trade, jobs and innovation and today, Canada is Minnesota’s largest export market, as reported by the City of Minneapolis.

In his new role with Purolator International, John S. Wilson will oversee day-to-day operations and manage all branch employees of the Minneapolis/MSP branch, that processes small package and freight deliveries for the country’s central region and Canada, as well as within the U.S. Wilson will report to Purolator International’s Central District Manager, Chris Antonelli.

Before joining Purolator International, Wilson was an International Account Manager at UPS, responsible for producing specific international revenue growth and target achievement. Prior, Wilson held a Senior Manager-Sales position at DHL Express in Richmond, VA and Minneapolis, MN.
