American Companies Join Purolator Inc. on Top 20 List as Ranked by Canadian Consumers
The results of the “Marketing/Leger (Canada) 2013 Corporate Reputation Survey” reveal high marks among Canadian consumers for several American companies, from first-ranked Google to sixth-placed Staples. Also placing high were Canadian companies, including Purolator Inc. at # 19 out of the 100 brands across 36 industries active in the Canadian market that formed the survey. Purolator is known for its tracking systems and prompt on-time deliveries of U.S. goods to Canadian households, earning the company the highest ranking among all transportation and shipping companies surveyed.
“Purolator International is a U.S. subsidiary of Canada’s Purolator, Inc. and we’ve made it ourbusiness to facilitate cross-border delivery of U.S. goods into Canada by increasing our presence across the states, ready to serve U.S. businesses entering the burgeoning Canadian market,” said Purolator International President John Costanzo. “And with a network on both sides of the border and expertise in efficient shipping and delivery to consumers, we are a trusted resource in fulfilling orders in a timely way.”
For American businesses and e-retailers, the 2013 survey points to a healthy market for companies responsive to the growing population of online Canadian shoppers. Canadians are increasingly buying electronics, clothing, furnishings, auto parts, appliances, and other products online or through their mobile devices.
Consumers surveyed often ranked the 100 companies on the basis of their e-commerce and mobile retailing capabilities. Google was given merits for creating Chrome as a safe, speedy and secure web browser; Staples for mobile capabilities that ease the shopping and purchase experience.
“Purolator International adopted the tagline We Deliver Canada to get across our message, and American businesses interested in expanding online product sales are turning to us,” said Costanzo. “We’ve the capacity to efficiently reach 34 million Canadian households and Purolator’s ranking in this survey underscores that reputation.”
Last month, Purolator International launched PuroPost; a new economical B2C shipping solution, providing guaranteed service to residential locations in all Canadian postal codes within 2-8 days.
